WALKING THROUGH HYTHE WITH ME

I would like to introduce you to the prettiest town on the South East coast of England.
It is where I live. Follow me with my paintings

To start with, I am on the sea front, looking towards Hythe - We are opposite to the golf course that belongs to the Mercure hotel.

Talking of the Mercure hotel, there is a wedding going on there :

Just carry on until the fisherman's beach, a very stunning corner that might be destroyed by builders

I am retracing my steps and turn towards Sandgate :

I have decided to walk down Stade Street, towards the town.

We have arrived near Oaklands where I turn and view the bandstand

I carry on a few more steps and pass by the bowling club :

I am now along the canal and turning on the left, I have the magnificent view of St Leonards and the war memorial.

Time to cool off and buy an ice cream

And a bit further I got a glance of a cricket match....

It is now time to go towards the town, I am crossing the bridge over the canal

Looking right and left and enjoying this wonderful stretch of water :

I am now on my way towards Marine Walk street

I am arriving in the High street, a very busy little place with its town hall,

A beautiful shopping area,

And the well known Malthouse.

I am now going up the hill and walked in Dental street to reach the famous Church Hill.

Arriving to the top, I am sitting on the bench and can admire the entire street.

After the welcoming rest, I am turning right, Hillside street, towards the church.

Turning left, I am now admiring the old cottages by the church

Looking down the street, I turn right and decide to go up Upper Church hill

Again, I have found a bench and can relax....

It is time to go back towards the town and I want to visit a corner where stand the old mill:

Would not mind to have a drink in the Bell :

I must not forget to go Mount Street

I had decided to go back and view the playing fields in South Road

I now want to experience the beautiful sunsets on the bay of Hythe
